Ken Clezy’s entertaining life story –
Now in Remission
One of Adelaide’s best known surgical graduates is the highly respected and skilled surgeon Ken Clezy.
The publisher of his surgical autobiography is Wakefield Press; it was first published in 2011, and has been re-printed in 2012.
It is an intensely interesting, and beautifully written account of his background, and his dedicated surgical career mostly in Papua New Guinea, in the face of adversity.
Many readers will relate to the events he recounts, and find inspiration to try to emulate him in some way as I have. Following in his path, I too had a stint performing reconstructive surgery for patients with leprosy in Papua New Guinea between 1968 and 1972.
Anyone who makes the effort to obtain a copy of this book and to read it will be well rewarded.

Thanks, Ken. I had great pleasure in writing it, so l’m glad so many people reckon it was worth the effort.
I greatly admire your writing as well as your surgical skills Ken. I liked the detail, the way you express yourself recounting the many dramatic moments in your life, and the apt turns of phrase. Thank you for taking the time to put your experiences into print; we value your book. Best wishes. Ken and Ev.
